Overview
Gig Point is a mobile marketplace for the gig economy-connecting service providers with clients who need work done. The app spans discovery, booking, messaging, location, and payments, mirroring the complexity of real-world marketplace products like event staffing and on-demand services.
What I did
Marketplace dashboard
Built the home dashboard surfacing active gigs, upcoming bookings, and quick navigation to jobs, services, and messages-the central hub for both providers and clients.
Jobs & services discovery
Implemented job listings and a services catalog with filtering, so users can browse available work or list their own offerings with clear categorization.
Booking & scheduling
Designed the booking flow from service selection through confirmation, plus a bookings list to track upcoming and past gigs-handling the core transaction loop of a marketplace.
In-app messaging
Created chat list and conversation screens for provider-client communication, needed for coordinating gig details before and after booking.
Maps integration
Integrated a map view for location-based gig discovery, letting users find nearby opportunities or navigate to job sites.
Payments & profile
Built payment management screens and a candidate profile view-covering the financial and identity layers that complete a marketplace experience.
